Uneven distribution around the world
Around the world there is uneven distribution of people. People are unevenly distributed on Earth's surface because of the climate in some spots of the world. For example, Alaska only has 1.1 people per square mile. That may not seem like a lot, but since Alaska is so big, it is hard to cover all of the land. Also since it's so far away from the equator, it is cold in most of the state. Since it’s cold, it is hard to live in the areas where the land is frozen over and it's just too cold to survive.
